Consulting
We’re on a mission to help organizations operationalize responsible AI. Our team of consultants includes people with academic, industry and government experience. We draw on a wide range of disciplines including philosophy and ethics, AI and data science, the social sciences, law, communications and organizational change management.
Our consulting teams are assembled on a project basis to ensure the right skill sets are represented to meet your unique needs.

The 4C’s framework for Responsible AI
Where do I start? We hear this question a lot!
Implementing a Responsible AI program can feel overwhelming. Regulations and standards don’t go into the specifics of how to meet objectives. The technology itself evolves at a rapid pace making it hard to keep up. It’s not obvious where or how to begin. The 4C’s - context, culture, content and commitment - is our approach to the daunting task of operationalizing Responsible AI.
We help you move past the mental hurdle of information overload to make the process manageable while retaining the necessary rigour to cover all your bases. Services include:
-
Privacy, AI, data or human rights impact assessments
-
Risk analysis and mitigation strategies
-
Responsible AI strategy and roadmap
-
AI governance
-
Procurement advice
-
Code of ethics and ethical frameworks
-
AI guidance and policy development
-
AI ethics committee

Our
Approach
We can deliver a full implementation of this framework or provide elements of this framework based on organizational readiness and needs.
We bring a socio-technical perspective to the work we do informed by the interdisciplinary field of Science and Technology Studies (STS). This means understanding not only the technical aspects of AI, but also how AI systems intersect with the social context of your organization and the society at large.

Tailored AI Policies and Guidelines
Organizations need clear guidelines tailored to their unique circumstances. Here’s how we helped three different organizations in the healthcare, education and arts sectors create unique AI policy guidance documents for their stakeholders.
